Project Overview
Introduction
MCP Group offer extensive Warehousing and Storage facilities from our 2 locations in both Cork (800,000 sq. ft. of purpose-built manufacturing and storage facilities) and Meath (over 200,000 sq. ft. of storage facilities). We pride ourselves on offering our customers a first class stock holding and nationwide Pallet Distribution service with regular up to date stock reports including a stock level management service of purchased product.
Background
As a complementary service to our customers, MCP Group offer new and existing customers a 3rd party Warehousing solution where we can store and distribute their raw materials, finished products etc. while also offering fast, efficient delivery throughout Ireland, both North and South.
One such customer of ours as a result of a booming Food and Drinks industry in Ireland, needed to expand their manufacturing operations and as a result, MCP Group were able to facilitate their additional Storage needs.
Problem/Challenge
Previously this customer used to be sourcing Pallets from one supplier, Packaging from multiple suppliers and Storing them all at their own site. Due to their significant growth, they needed to expand their operations and hence required offsite Storage. Hence MCP Group now supply them with Pallets, Corrugated Packaging and a wide range of warehoused items on a daily basis.

Solution/Outcome
MCP Group are strategically positioned to service customers with their supply chain solutions, which enables customers to source Pallets and Packaging and store warehoused items all from one location. In effect, MCP Group become a ‘one stop shop’ for each of their customers and has allowed our customers streamline their supply chain, and make improvements to their efficiency and their bottom line.
Conclusion/Key Findings
Many customers have really seen the benefit of MCP Group’s Warehousing solution. From our six purpose-built Storage and Distribution warehouses (and with further warehouses on the way), MCP Group has the right Storage solutions for our customers. Furthermore, we have expanded our BRCGS certification to include the Storage and Distribution of Food Grade and Non-Food Grade packaging and third-party warehousing of ambient food, packaging and consumer products. This is something that is certainly not offered by many companies!
