What are ISPM 15 Heat Treated Pallets?
The International Standard for Phytosanitary Measure 15 (ISPM 15), developed by the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC), sets forth the requirements for Heat Treating wood materials thicker than 6mm. This measure aims to prevent the spread of diseases and insects between countries, protecting plants and ecosystems worldwide. By adhering to ISPM 15, Heat Treated Pallets are stamped with a compliance mark known as the wheat stamp.
High Capacity Heat Treating: Up to 70,000 Pallets Weekly

With 10 kilns on site, we can Heat Treat and Kiln Dry up to 70,000 pallets per week. Our kilns’ critical process control parameters are independently calibrated regularly to ensure adequate heat treatment and Heat Treating process is audited by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) to ensure full compliance with ISPM 15 requirements.

How Did Brexit Affect the Need for Heat Treated Pallets?
Since January 1, 2021, only ISPM 15 Heat Treated pallets can be used to transport goods from the European Union (EU) to Great Britain (GB) and Northern Ireland (NI). As a result, many businesses that previously did not require Heat Treated pallets now must use them. Non-compliance can lead to shipments being rejected and the risk of fines. This regulatory change has significantly increased the demand for Heat Treated pallets to ensure smooth cross-border trade post-Brexit.
